The goal of OneBillionBulbs.com is to motivate millions of people to replace standard incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent (CFL) bulbs.  In order to work towards our goal, we need participation on a massive scale.  That means we need you. 

Here are some simple, concrete ways you can participate in our drive to produce meaningful and measurable change on a massive scale:

Register for a OneBillionBulbs Account

One of the goals of this site is to convince you that CFL bulbs save you money and are good for the environment.  By all means, we would encourage you to replace one or more standard incandescent light bulbs with CFL bulbs.  But don't stop there.  Sign up for a free OneBillionBulbs.com acount and record your light bulb change history.

Why?  The reason is simple.  Our goal is to calculate and aggregate pollution reduction and energy savings data that result from simple actions taken by millions of people.  That includes you.  The more data we collect, the more compelling our results become.  Our hope is that our results will become so compelling over time that more and more people will want to participate.

We don't want people to think that their actions don't matter.  If we can get lots of people to participate, the combined effect will matter. But we can only tell that story if you participate by contributing your information.
